Just ran across this while doing my morning blog checks.

Basically - Microsoft will donate a portion of the advertising revenue they recieve for every Messenger conversation you participate in to charity. All you have to do is add an emoticon to your display name.

I think it's a great idea - especially if you already use Live Messenger.
